Both arenas (Lucknow & Ripley) that we play out of have reached out to Huron-Bruce Minor Hockey in regards to conduct off the ice. Please read messaging below and respect the facility that you are practicing or playing at.
There have been a few things our staff have noticed/mentioned when working that we would like to get ahead of.
- User groups are responsible for visiting teams. This means that everything mentioned below is ultimately the responsibility of the renter, who will be responsible for ensuring visiting teams adhere.
- User groups are not permitted on the ice until the ice resurfacer doors are closed. It has been noted that some groups are entering onto the ice while staff are still working on getting off the ice (i.e., putting nets on). Should this continue, staff will not longer place nets for teams.
- An ice rental does not include use of meeting rooms. If a team is looking to do warm up or dryland training before/after a rental, a room must be booked.
- Ice rentals include one dressing room for a practice, and two for a game (one for home team, one for visiting). Dressing rooms are to be left reasonably clean when teams are done, and should be vacated within 30 minutes after the rental.
- Damages are the responsibility of the renter/user group. There have been two incidents this year already where damage was noted. In the first incident, a dressing room door was damaged, and was able to be repaired by staff. The second incident included a damaged dressing room door, lock, and dressing room bathroom stall handle, with replacement of a lock and handle required. Further incidents resulting in repair costs will be billed to the user group.
- Floor hockey/passing/shooting and other similar activities are not permitted in the dressing rooms, lobbies, hallways or meeting rooms.
Please respect the staff and facility. We cannot have Huron-Bruce Minor Hockey without these areans.
